Phewa Lake, the second largest lake in Nepal and the largest in Pokhara city, is a central attraction. Begnas Lake, the third largest lake in Nepal, is a 30-minute drive from Lakeside. It is the second biggest lake among the eight lakes in Pokhara City. With an average depth of 6.6 meters (22 feet) and an area of 3.28 km², Begnas Lake offers a serene escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. Surrounded by lush green hills and backed by the stunning Annapurna range, it provides breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere.

Nyureni Lake, also known as Neureni Lake, is smaller compared to the larger lakes like Phewa Lake or Begnas Lake. Although specific details about its exact area are not widely documented, it remains a modest-sized lake surrounded by hilly terrain. Consequently, this serene environment is ideal for those seeking a quieter side of Pokhara. Additionally, visitors can enjoy peaceful walks and appreciate the local flora and fauna.

Nestled among lush, green hills and forested areas, Maidi Lake is located in the Pokhara Municipality of Kaski. Although it is the smallest of Pokhara’s lakes, spreading over 1.17 hectares, its natural setting includes beautiful landscapes that change with the seasons, offering a range of colors and views throughout the year.

Khaste Lake, located in Kharane Phant in Pokhara Metropolitan City, covers an impressive area of 24.8030 hectares (61.290 acres), with the water area specifically covering 13.7370 hectares (33.945 acres). Moreover, this area, known as Bird Wetland, is particularly ideal for birdwatching, as it provides a vital refuge for various species, including Siberian, Indian, and Afghani birds. Additionally, the lake holds significant potential to become a prominent research center focused on the study and conservation of migratory birds from diverse species, further enhancing its ecological importance and attracting both researchers and nature lovers alike.

Pumdikot, a relatively new religious tourist destination in Kaski District near Pokhara, features a viewpoint at an altitude of 1,500 meters. Notably, it is famous for the statue of Lord Shiva, recognized as the second tallest (51 ft) Shiva statue in Nepal. This impressive site essentially functions as a large temple, drawing many visitors who come to offer prayers. Moreover, a visit to Pumdikot typically costs Rs.1800 for a round trip from Lakeside. In addition to its spiritual significance, the site provides scenic views of mountain ranges and Phewa Lake from the top.

Mahendra Cave, located in Batulechaur, Kaski District, carries the name of the Late King Mahendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev. Interestingly, young shepherds discovered the cave in the 1950s. Inside, visitors will find a statue of the Hindu God Lord Shiva. Moreover, the cave boasts numerous rock formations, including stalactites and stalagmites, and it offers a unique atmosphere with its cool, damp environment. People often associate it with Chamero Gufa due to its large bat population.

Bindhyabasini Temple, the oldest temple in Pokhara City, is located in Ward No. 2, Miruwa. It attracts a large number of locals, Nepalese from across the country, and foreigners alike. Specifically, devotees dedicate the main temple to the goddess Bindhyabasini, an incarnation of Kali.Pilgrims visit the temple to offer their prayers. Additionally, across from Bindhyabasini Temple, visitors find a Krishna Mandir where people celebrate Krishna Janmashtami, his annual birthday.
